This blog can be used as a learning log of your experiences for the rest of the course, as well as anything else that you might like to add that may not course-related.
Joe Simpson eh! Great books although I wouldn't go anywhere near a mountain with him in the vicinity, he seems rather jinxed and I have read of far too many accidents/bad things happening to his buddies! As for the north face, I'm far too much of a coward! I was meant to be on an expedition to tackle the might Everest 2 years ago - unfortunately my knee didn't fancy it so I had to pull out-still rather gutted about that one.
I figured from your great pics that you were a fellow enthusiast!
